Testing and Assessment FAQs
What tests are required as part of the program?
Students who are enrolled in Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville (TVAH) are required to take the following tests:
- Readiness assessment
- Course lesson and unit assessments
- Semester assessments
- Benchmark assessments
- Mandatory Texas state-assessments (in-person)
Will my child have to participate in state testing?
Yes. As public school students, all students enrolled in TVAH are required to participate in all state-mandated testing, which will require your student to travel to in-person locations. This is a mandatory requirement.
