Lacy Blakley is an experienced administrator from the Austin area. She started off her career in education as a high school science teacher with classroom experience in Biology, Environmental Systems, Physics, and AP Physics. Lacy has been a department chair, instructional coach, assistant principal, academic director, and academy director over the past decade. She has served at comprehensive high schools with robust career and technology programs, PTECH programs, Early College High School, and an academy model of learning. Lacy has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Texas in Austin and Master of Education in School Leadership from the University of Texas in Arlington. She is currently working on her Doctor of Philosophy in School Improvement from Texas State University. Lacy has a daughter and a son in elementary school. As a family, they enjoy playing in the backyard, cooking, riding bikes, and visiting local parks. She joined the K12 team in 2023 where her love of instruction and technology will continue to flourish.
